Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh

A visit to Royal Botanic Garden is an enjoyable, inspiring place for everyone.  Stonehouse understood that the design and build of this new and unique cafe plus restaurant facilities had to enhance an already rewarding visitor experience.

The Brief

To capture the essence of Royal Botanic Garden and to provide comfortable, modern, natural, environmental friendly venues for visitors and employees to dine and socialise whilst visiting the gardens.

The Design Concept

Attention to specification and materials was fundamental to the design process; considering the environment, sustainability and longevity of products inspired us to carefully choose the best layout, bespoke and loose furniture, colour scheme and lighting to create the desired atmosphere and feel.

What We Delivered

This project is one on its own.  It has a completely unique design with an array of stylish bar areas, serveries and visitor dining facilities, furnished with oak bespoke furniture and loose soft seating and dining furniture.

The aim was to create a natural, welcoming vibe bringing the outside in and bring the whole space to life once all the final touches were in place.

Fit out works included complete mechanical and electrical installation, back of house catering design and installation, new flooring, partitions, ceilings and decoration throughout.  We  designed, manufactured and installed all bespoke furniture where a mix of unusual materials, finishes and lighting enabled us to truly meet the brief and deliver an amazing project.

Thank you to our valued client for awarding us such an interesting and exciting project.
