Architectural Technician

The Role

This is predominately an office-based role in a casual/smart, office environment. Site visits will be required on a regular basis.


The role involves:
Assisting in the design and development of projects from feasibility stage through to completion.
Preparing technical and detailed drawings.
Attending internal and site-based project meetings.
Undertaking full building regulations submissions.
Reporting project progress to Directors and Managers.
Planning own workload and tasks.


The Experience

HNC/HND qualification in Construction and the Built Environment (or equivalent).
10 years + experience.
Revit proficient.
AutoCAD proficient.
Sound understanding of Building Regulations.
Excellent technical competency and detailing ability.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate a good understanding of the residential / house builder sector.
Experience on projects involving Listed Buildings welcome but not essential.
Be able to work well both individually and within a team.
Be willing to acquire new skills.
Have great interpersonal skills and experience of direct client liaison.
Have great communication and presentation skills.
The ability to deal with multiple projects at varying stages and complexities.


The Salary

Negotiable depending on experience, plus company vehicle and contributory pension scheme

Holiday Entitlement

24 days plus statutory bank holidays

The Hours

9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday – the business necessitates flexibility so additional hours may be required

The Requirements

Driving is essential to undertake this role as travel for site attendance and any associated meeting as necessary.
