The Arena Group, Wakefield

Ben outlined that the regeneration was necessary as the open plan reception and showroom area needed to reflect the new direction of the company as solution providers.

“I knew what I wanted and how it was going to work. I needed a company who could take my initial ideas and create a design that would be practical and aesthetic. From floor to ceiling, Stonehouse understood well and interpreted those ideas. I liked the way they listened and fulfilled the brief perfectly. They had a great understanding of the overall concept I desired and ultimately installed exactly what was promised in the 3D viz images.”

The result was an urban space housing a modern, bespoke reception which was handmade in maple and contrasting white colour core laminate. It was fitted with electric blue LED lighting which, although added visual impact, served a deeper purpose of ensuring DDA compliance. The style flowed easily through to the demonstration areas where complementary media walls housed plasma screens.
As delighted as Ben Turner was with the finished look, it was the relationship that was forged with the Stonehouse team that ensured the installation ran smoothly.

“Stonehouse allocated a project manager, Mark Robinson, who oversaw the entire installation. He never got flustered, was always professional and was prepared to get his hands dirty to ensure that things were accomplished. It was reassuring that he could empathise and I trusted him completely, so that when he said something would happen, it did. It was Mark, along with Stonehouse’s Steve Waugh, who really put my faith back in British industry. It was nice to deal with people who care and had pride in their work.”
